Woman 'mauled to death' by lioness on game reserve

A young woman was reportedly mauled to death by a lioness in South Africa this week. The 22-year-old victim is said to have been attacked by the big cat on a private game reserve. She was found seriously injured in Hammanskraal, Guateng, by officials at around 11am. Despite efforts to revive the victim, she died at the scene. Netcare 911 spokesman Nick Dollman said: ‘Paramedics arrived at the scene, bystanders had initiated CPR. ‘Tragically the victim had sustained severe injuries and she died at the scene. ‘Documentation pertaining to her death was completed by Netcare 911 and handed over to authorities.’ Speaking to The Sun, Mr Dollman said the woman was found ‘one of many game lodges in a
