With the conviction and energy peculiar to a recent convert Jaguar is tonight launching its third SUV in two years and this one is electric — all electric like a Tesla.
It wasn’t so long ago Jaguar just made saloon cars (and the tragically indisposed F-Type) and people didn’t really care, however handsome and fleet of foot they were. Then along came the F-Pace SUV and with it the epiphany that it wasn’t Jaguars that folks didn’t want, but saloons. The mid-sized SUV now accounts for nearly half of all Jag sales and has just been joined by a little brother, the E-Pace.
