Georgia's Attack on Delta Shouldn't Fly

GOP lawmakers in Georgia just used political intimidation to economically punish Delta Air Lines, one of the largest employers in their state, for their free-market decision to cut ties with the National Rifle Association after the tragic Parkland shooting.

While this legislative punishment prevents Delta from receiving a jet fuel tax break to the tune of $50 million dollars, it also sets a terrifying precedent: that a company can be punished by the government for its decision making. What's more, the very GOP lawmakers who claimed companies such as Delta that cut ties with the NRA were doing so out of political intimidation from the left did that very thing by intimidating the company through economically damaging legislation.

Oh, the hypocrisy.
